Black Sheep Brewery Hosts Networking Event

Black Sheep Brewery hosted a familiarisation and networking event on Tuesday 23rd March at the Brewery in Masham, North Yorkshire. The event attracted over 90 business people from all over the region.

Paul Theakston, Joint Managing Director said: “The event was a huge success and we were delighted to welcome so many first time visitors to our brewery and in particular the Visitor Centre, which is a great place for an interesting day out, as well as being a great venue for all manner of different events in a unique space.”

Visitors were welcomed by Paul Theakston, Joint Managing Director and Gary Verity, Chief Executive of Welcome to Yorkshire.

Gary Verity said: “It was a well attended and well supported event in a great location that I hope will benefit both attendees and the Black Sheep brewery alike. Events like this can only help us in our efforts to provide the best possible experience for visitors to Yorkshire as we aim to become the number one holiday destination in the UK.”

Guests went on a ‘shepherded’ tour of the brewery before being given the opportunity to sample a selection of the Brewery’s award winning ales, including the newest addition to the flock - Golden Sheep, followed by lunch in the Bistro.

The Visitor Centre first opened its doors to the public in 1995, and has since gone from strength to strength as one of the most popular visitor attractions in North Yorkshire.  Regular tours of the Brewery allow visitors to experience the traditional brewing processes all the way through to the end product.

The spacious Bistro, located in the Visitor Centre, serves a variety of locally-sourced culinary delights throughout the day, including Riggwelter Casserole and Hog and Hop Sausages with mash - both containing Black Sheep ales.  The Visitor Centre is also a ‘ewe-nique ' venue for corporate entertaining, product launches, parties and weddings. The Sheepy Shop has an abundance of unique gifts for every member of the family including a superb range of hampers, made to individual specifications to ensure a true ‘Taste of Yorkshire’.
