Black Sheep Brewery Dazzles Prestigious Hotel

North Yorkshire based Black Sheep Brewery is celebrating the installation of its 250th illuminated ‘Dazzler’ handpump, the first of its kind at the time in Britain. Black Sheep Brewery has taken the initiative to use an illuminated font to promote cask ales, a new departure for this well known family firm.

Launched in December 2008, the Dazzler is now celebrating its milestone 250th installation in the suitably grand surroundings of the prestigious Nidd Hall Hotel in Nidd, North Harrogate.

Kevin Paddison, Technical Services Manager at Black Sheep Brewery says: “The new Dazzler is a move away from our more traditional image. We were conscious that our competitors were being more creative and we knew we needed to be noticed at the bar to appeal to a younger generation of beer drinkers. We particularly wanted the dispense to be in view of the customer - it adds to the theatre of the pour, so customers can see exactly what’s going on.”

“When we wanted local cask ales on our bar, we immediately approached Black Sheep. We know they offer quality Cask Ales with a nation-wide reputation for excellence” Matthew Walton, Bars Manager Nidd Hall Hotel. “We look forward to offering this to our guests.”

There are now over 250 illuminated fonts from the Black Sheep Brewery out in the trade and they are also visible in modern city centre venues - a new departure for the company.

Nidd Hall, is a prestigious 4 star hotel operated by Warner Leisure Hotels and caters exclusively to adults. It is a hidden jewel on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and nestles in 45 acres of glorious parkland. Nidd Hall has recently opened their ‘Terrace Restaurant’ offering the very best of modern British cuisine to the public. This beautiful restaurant set in the main house provides a relaxed intimate dining experience.
