Originally built as a farmstead in 1747, this four star Inn and restaurant features a cosy open fire, sunny walled beer-garden, excellent bar meals and a la carte menus (including vegetarian) using fresh, local produce, good choice of wines and a wide range of cask and bottle conditioned beers from local micro-breweries. From 1st January 2007 Battlesteads is operating a no smoking policy throughout the building.

A friendly, family run hotel, it has 14 en-suite bedrooms, including ground floor rooms with disabled access, and is ideally placed for exploring Hadrian’s Wall, Kielder and Border Reiver country, whether by car, cycle or on foot.
